From grandparents to grandkids, this beautiful family made the most of their time together. The peaceful setting, relaxed summer vibes, and genuine love between everyone created such a fun and easy atmosphere for photos.
A Hidden Gem in Rose City
We met up at a cozy lakeside property in Rose City, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The calm water, tall trees, and natural Michigan charm gave us the perfect backdrop for this extended family shoot. It felt like the kind of place where memories are made — fishing, bonfires at night, and cousins running barefoot through the grass.
As a Mid-Michigan family photographer, I’m always on the lookout for hidden gems like this one. You don’t have to go far to find photo-worthy beauty — sometimes it’s right in your own backyard (or lakefront!).
Capturing All the Generations
We captured group photos, individual family units, and plenty of candid moments in between. Grandma and Grandpa shared sweet smiles with their grandkids, siblings laughed together in the sun, and parents got a few special moments with just their little one. These are the images that grow more meaningful with time — the kind you’ll want to print, frame, and pass down for generations.
And of course, we wrapped up with some lakeside shots, taking advantage of the soft golden light and peaceful reflections. The whole session just felt real — like summer at the lake should.
