From a heartfelt Catholic ceremony to an unforgettable celebration at Back Orchard Barn in Freeland, Michigan, every part of their day reflected their love, faith, and excitement for the future.

A Relaxed Morning at Back Orchard Barn

The day began at Back Orchard Barn, where both Faith and Tyler spent the morning getting ready with their families and wedding party. One of the things I love about this venue is how spacious it is, allowing everyone to enjoy the morning without feeling rushed.

Faith slipped into a breathtaking gown featuring a pearl-covered bodice and flowing satin skirt that perfectly matched the elegant feel of the day. Her bridal details were timeless—from sparkling heels and delicate jewelry to her classic invitation suite and signature perfume. Every carefully chosen piece told part of their story and made for beautiful detail photographs before the festivities began.

Meanwhile, Tyler spent the morning laughing with his groomsmen as they prepared for the day ahead. Wearing a crisp white tuxedo jacket with black accents, he looked every bit the classic groom.

A Meaningful Catholic Wedding Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows during a beautiful Catholic ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Catholic weddings have a unique way of blending tradition, reverence, and celebration, making the ceremony one of the most meaningful parts of the wedding day.

As Faith walked down the aisle, you could immediately see the emotion on Tyler’s face. These are the moments couples often remember most—not the decorations or timeline, but the feeling of finally seeing each other on the day they’ve waited so long for.

Celebrating at Back Orchard Barn

Following the ceremony, everyone returned to Back Orchard Barn for the reception.

This venue is one of Mid-Michigan’s hidden gems, combining rustic charm with modern elegance. The soaring wood ceilings, beautiful natural light, and spacious reception area create an incredible backdrop for wedding photography while giving guests plenty of room to celebrate.

One of my favorite moments was watching Faith and Tyler cut their elegant white wedding cake together. They couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, and those genuine moments are exactly what make wedding photography so special.

Before the reception officially got underway, we took advantage of the beautiful spaces throughout the venue for portraits. Their romantic dip beneath the glowing Bailey’s sign perfectly captured the excitement and joy they shared all day long. Sometimes the simplest moments become the most iconic images.
